With God, you can rock!

Moses was strong to rock a nation
when he was 40 but had to exile,
it was a time when he relied on his strength

Moses had no inhibitions,
and at age 80 his youthful urge
was long gone, this is the time
he got his calling

He suspected if he could do it,
the very reason why he got Aaron
to assist him - more than his slurred speech!

He lived up to 120
freeing a nation from her enemies,
lead them in the wilderness,
and his eyes never lost their shine

The only difference is - he relied now solely on God's strength
And what a change it made to the nation of Israel!

Faith surely will move mountains,
as also evidenced in the life of Abraham

It wasn't Ishmael, rather Isaac -
the fruit of faith
on whom a nation was built

And there's more
Not Esau - but Jacob
Both Isaac and Jacob were not the firstborns
but richly blessed to reap the fruits
of the firstborn

How would I fail to mention Solomon
who was neither the firstborn of David,
nor of David and Bathseba
but to be the heir
and ruler of the great nation Israel

The doings of the Lord
are amazing and wonderful
we just do not know how it is done
just as the grass that grows in lustre
and the very own eyes that saw evil
shall see the wonder working of the Lord -
it's incomprehensible to our human minds

Surely the Lord lives!!
