Philosophy of Life

If love can be loved
And hate be hated
How good life would be?
Do you believe it still could be

Most of our lives
We live as if walking over knives
We hate to love
And love to hate
And problems never solve
Until to wounds we apply salve
Sweet words are always better
Even our hearts loves not bitter

Every step we take to make peace
We know of heaven's bread we will get a piece
It's not just a rose I gave you

It's not just a rose I gave you
It's the feelings I have for you
Today in the morning
I plucked it from the garden without a warning
The angry rose turned red
To pacify it I had to lace it with my blood
It's not just a rose I gave you
It's the feelings I have for you

I loved the rose for its smell
But that was before, to your love, I fell
I smelled it but felt that was you
To me this feeling is new
I held it close to my heart as one carries a treasure
Nothing than seeing it in your hands gives me more pleasure

It's not just a rose I gave you
It's the feelings I have for you

Lessons from a child

He stood up slowly and we were watching in awe
We have seen him crawling and cruising
And now he wants to stand
This is the day we were waiting for
Its gonna be his first step
He is going to stand all by himself and walk
And the joy it gives us nothing can surpass that very day
He stood slowly and, and he fell
Did he bruise or injured himself?
Our minds were reeling
Before we could reach him
He stood up again and, and fell again
He is not going to give up

We think we are grown-ups
But like the child we fall too
The child fell but tried to stand again
We try to stand but fear we might fall again
And because we thought we will fall again we do fall
We try not again to stand cos we think we might fall
The difference between us and the child is
We give up easily but child does not

He finally stood
And days moved, he walked
He is now running
Life keeps moving fast
And we need to keep up the pace with it
We cant just be walking anymore
We need to run
- like the baby we should learn to stand first after every fall
And walk not but run
He who runs fast - wins
Let us be winners in life
Run baby run

There ain't no Christ

There ain't no Christ
There ain't no freedom
He was no freedom fighter
But won freedom for millions
Helping them win their own demons
Of darkness and low self-esteem
From Herod to Hitler
They tried to wipe His name off but with no success
Not one of the world revered men
Did ever speak blasphemy of His name
Turn to the pages of history
And you will find only praises by these men
Whatever religion they belong to
Or however high they are regarded by people

Jesus was a nonconformist
Never was He a religious leader
He said, blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God
He also said, greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends
If you believe He resurrected from the dead
You can also believe you also will be resurrected in His day
He was only giving hope - which is the substance of life
Sometimes we call hope positive mental attitude
He lived a simple life
The simple way to be like Him is to emulate Him
Together forever

I thought you would be always with me
But you weren't
I wondered why

I thought I would be always yours
But I weren't
I wondered why

Is that my fault
If yes you say
I would admit

Well yes, it was my fault
I moved away from you
Hoping that you will always follow me

I turned back to see you
But you were not there
It is my fault I walked fast

Now I have determined
I would not ever walk fast
Let alone the thought I would ever walk away from you

Come dear, come near
We will speak out
And be together forever

Song of a single mind

Long time after I saw a friend
He asked are u single yet?
There was some callousness
I wondered, is being single a crime?
Or a failure to have not found one
Or just have not fallen into the wagon
That everyone fall into and some regret
There are not just a few but more who whine
But console themselves saying this is what life is
An uncle said you should not be always happy
You should marry, one should see both sides of life
What he meant, you guessed it right
Keep it for yourself, don't even dare to think aloud
Cheers to being free and single
Cheers now that you can freely mingle
With minds that are of your kind
Take your time till the best you find

En route to Nirvana

On the path to nirvana

Giving up is the easiest thing to do in the world
Easier said than done
The crux of giving up is
To consider the material things as nothing
To consider fame and glory as vanity
To treat both joy and sorrow equal
Never be overjoyed nor overcried
To travel the road less traveled
Alone and with despair, and live as a recluse
This I thought was the path to nirvana

Not anymore, there is another path to attain nirvana
Those who have tread this path have their name inscribed in history
The only way and true way to attain nirvana is through love
Anyone can easily fall in love, love is pure etc., etc.
I have heard a lot
But to truly love is the hardest thing as I know
Love loves to give up
But anger, strife, enmity, grudge, inequality, feeling superior
And whatever that is against the strong ethical principles of life
Love loves not to give up
Being kind, forgiving, suffering, believing, hoping, enduring
And the good part is it never fails
This is the true path to nirvana
May my spirit be enlightened and cling on to the elixir of life - love

If not for Poetry

If not for poetry
I would have been so mean
When some strong thoughts come over me
And try their best to captivate me
It is the poetry that freed me time and again
I thank my Maker for giving me a mind
To express its heart in poems

Poems are just the strong feelings
I would be a bit bold here to compare it to a molten lava
That boils within me
I had long been a dormant volcano
I thought I was long dead
But not after when I poured my heart in words
Words sometimes with meanings, sometimes with venom
The burst of a volcano is menacing
But for the colors of the thick lava and the flow
A nice scenery to behold in mind
So I wish the poem be
May God bless poetry forever
