If not for Poetry
If not for poetry
I would have been so mean
When some strong thoughts come over me
And try their best to captivate me
It is the poetry that freed me time and again
I thank my Maker for giving me a mind
To express its heart in poems
Poems are just the strong feelings
I would be a bit bold here to compare it to a molten lava
That boils within me
I had long been a dormant volcano
I thought I was long dead
But not after when I poured my heart in words
Words sometimes with meanings, sometimes with venom
The burst of a volcano is menacing
But for the colors of the thick lava and the flow
A nice scenery to behold in mind
So I wish the poem be
May God bless poetry forever
